Being a full time translator since 1991 and having served as a committee member of Malaysian Translators Association for few terms, he is well-connected to the translation industry and is well-accepted by the private sector as well as government agencies, for translation of important, statutory and business documents for use in many countries across the world.

Depending on specific requirements prescribed by different processing authorities, a Certified Translation completed by CHEOK TEK HUAT or CHEOK TRANSLATION CENTRE may be used for direct submission  to processing authorities in various countries including Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore, Ireland, Hong Kong, Macao, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. For countries that require consular endorsement in a chained legalization procedure such as the Netherlands, Norway, Luxemburg, China, etc, if the need arises, clients may see me for translation, then proceed with a rigid endorsement procedure in the following sequence:  the Secretary of Malaysian Translators Association representing DBP, Wisma Putra (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia), Foreign Embassy in Malaysia.

As for Malaysia, while this service supports documents for submission to Ministry of Higher Education, Immigration Department, Ministry of Tourism, Intellectual Property Corporation, National Registration Department, it may not support documents that are involved in a rigid chained legalization procedure, and hence may not be conveniently used for a document targeting a processing authority that requires specific governmental stamps  rather than evidence that it is completed by a professional translator for the translation, in which case, additional stamps will be required to complete the required procedure, for instance, the secretariat of Malaysian Translators Association to endorse with a stamp representing Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

A Certificate Translation completed by Cheok Tek Huat  may cover documents originated from many places/countries.  For instance, Birth Certificates–Malaysia (East Malaysia and West Malaysia), China, Taiwan, Indonesia; Marriage/Divorce Certificates – marital documents of Muslims and Non-Muslims from Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc;  Academic Certificates – Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia; Police Reports:  Malaysia, China, Indonesia etc.

Completed translations are stamped as Certified Translation with translator’s qualification and contact details. Clients may need to check with a relevant processing authority on the type of endorsements required, or find out the suitability of my translation for that specific purpose, prior to engaging my service.  Note that while endorsement of a professional translator from Malaysian Translators Association is generally acceptable worldwide, it may still be unusable in cases where a processing authority excludes Malaysian Translators Association from their list of authorized translators on the reason that it is not a full government company, nor a full government institution.
